Within a collaborative Agile/Scrum product team, you will contribute to the design, development, and continuous evolution of strategic Data Backend platforms supporting some of Orange Business’ key transformation programs, including SM2.0, Vibe, NewCo, Evolve, and other critical customer-facing initiatives.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and data-processing services.
• Supporting the delivery of strategic business initiatives while ensuring solution quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Developing and optimizing data-processing pipelines capable of handling large volumes of business-critical data.
• Contributing to application modernization, technical debt reduction, code refactoring, and continuous improvement activities.
• Supporting cloud migration initiatives and the transition towards modern, scalable, and resilient architectures.
• Designing and implementing APIs and integrations with multiple internal and external systems.
• Investigating and resolving production incidents, performance issues, and data consistency problems.
• Working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Technical Leads, and other development teams.
• Contributing to technical architecture decisions and the definition of the product’s technical roadmap.
• Actively participating in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Ensuring delivery commitments are met while maintaining high standards of software quality and operational excellence.

With a Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, you have at least three years of experience in software development and backend engineering. You are comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments and have experience delivering business-critical applications with high performance, reliability, and availability requirements.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java development.
• Experience with Scala and distributed data-processing frameworks such as Apache Spark.
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, backend architectures, and distributed systems.
• Experience with OrientDB, PostgreSQL, and database performance optimization.
• Good understanding of data modelling, data processing, and large-scale data management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and cloud migration projects would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, would be a plus.
• Experience in monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and supporting production systems.
• Good understanding of software design patterns, clean code principles, and development best practices.
