The ‘Data Product Owner – Billing Accounts’ supports the Head of Master & Referential Data in defining, delivering and managing a global solution for managing the lifecycle of customers’ billing account data, including data definition, processes, data quality and referential system roadmap. 

This role is part of a small core team responsible for the Customer Master Data at the heart of the Orange Business digital customer & employee journey strategy, and will work in close collaboration with the other data product owners to share expertise and ensure alignment. It is a marketing-orientated role, ensuring we hold and exploit the right data at the right quality to deliver operational efficiency, customer journey, commercial advantage, and therefore both customer experience excellence and business growth.

Business use cases and value of the data

  • Be recognized as the business expert on Billing Account data, across all channels), supporting projects and portfolios in the correct creation and consumption of this data.
  • Engage with business stakeholders in International / DGC / DEF and other BUs as required to capture and prioritise requirements for billing account data management, and assess the value-add of prioritized requirements..
  •  Maximise exploitation of customer data for operational & analytical purposes by working with consuming teams & systems to facilitate and ensure correct use of customer data within wider capabilities.

 

Data definition and documentation

  • Ensure data model is fully documented in our data management system to facilitate understanding and consumption of the data.

 

User access to the data

  • Responsible for providing users with easy and clear access to relevant data, whether as individial records or as bulk reporting, via portal, EDH, PowerBI or other mechanisms.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate access controls to customer data, complying with regulatory, security & confidentiality  requirements while maximizing demoicratization to facilitate delivery of value.

 

Data quality monitoring, management & lifecycle process 

  • Responsible for optimizing the quality of billing account data. Work closely with Data Stewards / Data Quality team to identify KPIs and monitor & report the quality (accuracy & completeness) of customer billing account records; oversee activity to correct any errors and fix the root cause of any identified issues (whether process or technical).

 

Business representative for referential tool roadmap 

  • Providing leadership to IT teams (CTIO, DTSI) to develop & deliver in line with business needs, setting business priorities and securing budgetary cover, reviewing , tracking and reporting on progress vs plan.
  • Drive delivery of a scopeless billing account referential solution, to support CurrentCo and NewCo ecosystems.
  • Take Epic owner position if required for driving delivery of customer data epics / envelopes though the SAFe portfolio model.

education, qualifications, and certifications

Academic business degree or equivalent, (business administration, information management)

Subject matter Expertise, 

 

 

Experience

MS Office, Teams, Data Quality Platforms, meta data, Data Visualisation 

Minimum 5 years experience of data management / data process / quality management
