As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures to support the organization’s data strategy. 

Your primary focus will be on enabling enrichment needed by usecases on both cloud & non cloud based data platform,  help optimizing data ingestion, processing, and storage jobs, and ensuring data quality and security. Develop high quality enablers & modules to enrich objectfs from data place in a datamesh model.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement end-to-end data solutions, automate workflows, and enable data-driven decision-making.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, modeling, and warehousing using technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, NiFi, and cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Leading the migration of data use cases from existing onprem Bigdata platform to cloud azure based Big Data platform
• Defining detailed technical specifications based on user stories.
• Designing strategies for data collection, processing, and visualization, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Automating data workflows and deploying them in DevOps environments.
• Managing real-time streaming and batch processing modes based on use case requirements.
• Optimizing data ingestion and query performance on distributed data lakes and SQL engines.
• Ensuring the quality, security, and compliance of data solutions.
• Documenting technical specifications and maintaining operational documentation.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for data pipelines and solutions.
• Staying updated with the latest Big Data and cloud technologies, and mentoring team members.

Professional Skills:

• Proven experience in managing large-scale data engineering projects within Big Data ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of Hadoop components (HDFS, Hive, YARN, NiFi, Oozie, Kafka).
• Strong proficiency in Spark (Scala, Python, Java) for data processing.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI), AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and API integration.
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Ability to analyze complex data workflows, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
• Good scripting skills in Linux environments for automation and administration.
